Before Your Treatment

• Stop NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin), fish oil, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba 24–48 hours prior to reduce bruising risk
• Avoid alcohol the day before and day of treatment
• Don't schedule major events 1–2 weeks after treatment (allow swelling/bruising window)
• Arrive with clean skin, no makeup on treatment areas
• Disclose all medications, supplements, and recent vaccinations or dental work
• Eat a normal meal beforehand

After Your Treatment

• Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging treated areas
• No exercise for 24 hours; no saunas, hot tubs, or steam for 48 hours
• Sleep on your back / elevated for the first night
• Apply a cool compress (no pressure) for swelling
• No facials, microdermabrasion, or face-down massage for 7–10 days
• Avoid dental work for 2 weeks if possible
• Mild bruising or swelling for a few days is normal

Who Should Avoid This Treatment

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Active skin infection or cold sore in treatment area
• Autoimmune flare
• Allergies to filler ingredients (lidocaine, lactic acid, etc.)
• Recent dental procedures (within 2 weeks)
• Bleeding disorders or current blood thinner use without provider clearance
• Within 2 weeks of vaccination (precautionary)

Recommended Number of Sessions

Most patients see full Botox results within 10–14 days and benefit from re-treatment every 3–4 months. Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) typically last 6–18 months depending on the product and treatment area. Sculptra results build over 3–6 months across a series of 2–4 sessions and can last 2+ years. Touch-up assessments are scheduled at 2 weeks post-treatment if needed.
